Pic Request. Matte Finish Rims-OE preferred.

I've looked through some of the pic threads looking to see if anyone had powder coated their rims. I have a Silver MS6 and I think that black rims would probably look sweet. Just not sure which would look sweeter, Gloss or Matte? I don't want to buy new rims, so if you have a pic of your OE wheels blacked out, post them up please.

13.80, that's about where I want to be. I ran a 14.60 at 95 with a cp-e CAI and magnaflow catback.

What setup got you into the 13s?

heres mine just for shits and giggles..not OEM but their flat black i have only cleaned them twice since i put them on about 3 weeks ago,they really didnt need it, i just got so used to cleaning my stockers every three days, kinda got me in a routine..

IMO, gloss looks better. I went with a graphite color as seen in these pics before the car was lowered.

Yes, it's powdercoat. You don't notice any brake dust. That's also why I went with Hyperblack on my summer wheels.

I haven't decided between gloss or matte yet. I'm trying to decided with future accents in mind. Do I want the murdered out look of matte, or do I go with gloss and get any other accents shiny too. (shrug)

if you go gloss, make sure your tires are foamed or blackmagic'd otherwise having a more shiny black rim than tire looks beat. if you go flat, it will blend in nicely.

Good point.

I went and looked around the car and am probably going matte. The grill, the foglights, window trim, exhaust ports are all matte black plastic.

Semi at the most, most likely Flat for Matte.


They have many shades of powdercoat, they showed me like 12 different shades of black.
