View Full Version : cluth kit and flywheel tranny noise

spec stage 2+ cluth kit and fidanza flywheel after install tranny make noise sound like straight cut gears on 1st and 2nd gear,when tranny is hot i hear the noise almost on every gear.drain the fluid and i put thicker one but no changes ???????????

motor and tranny mounts were replaced too got those from rpm meaby that makes niose that i am hearing

I would try using Synthetic gear oil for the trans. Also Make sure you use the same weight oil. You can actually damage your trans due to using the heavier oil. It just doesn't get inot the places it really needs to lube up. I had great luck with the GM brand full synthetic gear oil. I would also check the oil in the transfer case. I would even use oil that is a little thinner in my opinion.

now we think its the flywheel loose but i dont know what to do now ??????

Lighter weight clutch and flywheel combos can cause strange noises to become audible. The heavier weighted stock units can dampen the noises you are hearing now. In my racecar, a Miata, I have a lighter flywheel clutch combo and you wouldn't believe the noises. I thought the tranny was bad after I changed the clutch/flywheel to the lighter units.

we will take the tranny down i found out that fidanza flywheel must be screwed with new bolts u cant use the old ones and u have to balance the flywheel ones its done i will write if something is changed ok??????????

I am assuming you and a friend did this install? You should be able to reuse OEM bolts, as long as you torque them to specs.

we did 115 pounds same as stock flywheel but the problem was a unbalanced flywheel we put stock one on and the whole problem went awy
