Does anyone have/know the factory alignment specs for a 2008 Mazda5?

Thanks in advance.

Front
Toe-in: Tire 2mm +-4
Inner rim 1 +-3
Caster with 1/2 tank of gas: 2.9 degrees +- 1 degree
camber: -0 degrees 41 minutes +- 1 degree

Rear

Toe-in: Tire - 3mm
Rim - 2
Camber: -1.25 degrees +-1 degree

Now, since only the toe is adjustable, why do you want to know? Hit something?

Rear camber is not adjustable?
I figured it was after hearing about the UK 5 Sport tire wear issues.

Will it help camber if I install MS3 rear camber link? I'm still waiting for my MS3 springs and worry that it may make the camber worst

The specs are normal for a sports car but agressive for a family wagon/van. Inside tire wear will always be an issue with these specs.

I have found that 40-50 PSI in the rear tires greatly reduces the inside tire wear. They really wear when the air is down around 30 PSI.

Don't bother to tell me how crazy that air pressure is....

does anybody here run negative front camber? I'm talking -1/-1.5?

Sorry to bring this back to the top, but my car is pulling a little to the right. and I'd like to check my alignment.

I do my own alignments on my 928 using laser levels and a tape measure. I designed an Excel spreadsheet that you populate the numbers into and it tells you what to adjust it to.

My limited experience, however, has taught me that alignment specs are usually given in degrees, minutes, and sometimes seconds.

Does anyone have the specs (maybe from an old alignment thay had done) for an '08 M5 in degrees?

Thanks.

Search is my friend. I think I found it.

Camber:
Front Left: -1.82, 0.18
Front Right: -1.82, 0.18
Rear Left: -1.57, 0.43
Rear Right: -1.57, 0.43

Caster:
Front Left: 0.93, 2.93
Front Right: 0.93, 2.93

Toe:
Front Left: -0.10, 0.30
Front Right: -0.10, 0.30
Rear Left -0.10, 0.30
Rear Right -0.10, 0.30

Can anyone confirm?

How do you convert toe to degrees?

It's the number of degrees (in this case minutes - a fraction of a degree) from zero. You know... angles.

One degree is divided into 60 minutes (of arc), and one minute into 60 seconds (of arc). These units, also called the arcminute and arcsecond, are respectively represented as a single and double prime, or if necessary by a single and double quotation mark: for example, 40.1875° = 40° 11′ 15″ (or 40° 11' 15").

In the case of alignment, you measure the deviation from zero (or straght fwd). Basically, I measure a trapazoid.

Sorry, I understand degrees º, minutes ', and seconds ". I should have been more clear.

I take it that toe degrees is 0º as parallel and 90 is perpendicular (to vehicle)? But if you are converting from 'mm' for 'º' toe, does it change in relation to overall diameter?

2mm on a 24" (610mm) tire is not the same as 2mm on a 30" (762mm) tire right? Just wanting to learn something here.

I didn't convert it. I just found it elsewhere on the web.

Yeah... I didn't like the specs given in mm becasue I couldn't tell 2mm of what? Plus I don't know exactly how one could measure it accurately enough. Degrees is definitive. It's what all the alignment machines use and I can get very very acurate with my setup. When I do the alignment I'll see if I can do a writeup.

Yes, please do a write-up. I'd like to see your method.

A0928, did you ever do a writeup on this?
