Does anyone know if the Mazda3 5-door has ever been available with the 2.0 engine. A friend of mine swears up and down it was but my understanding is the 5-door has only been the 2.3

The only 2.0L mazda 3 hatchbacks were made in late 2008 and were designated the sport GX. its hard as hell to find but it is possible if its an 08-09.

where those sold in the us market? i was under the impression they were in the non US market only???

there were a few imports to dealerships from what i understand. but like i said, very hard to find. and in the us they were just labeled a sport

The year he was talking about was 2004 so i am pretty suer it was a 2.3L like i told him.

all 04's - to early 08 hatches are 2.3l thats it. im pretty sure even the jdm's are 2.3L.
