welcome to the forum.
tail light: dont buy altezza! I think the stock one look good, maybe you can buy the jdm one...
hid kit: xenonexpert sell one for cheaper and its what i have. 6000k ftw!
Intake: i say buy a cheap one on ebay and put a good filter on it.k&n
springs: you struts will be good for now but they may wear faster with after market springs
As for the rims, you should post them here before buying. So you can have a lot of opinions. Personally, i dont really like chrome lip but just post them and we will see.

Taillights: i prefer the JDM or stockers but if you like those altezzas then go ahead its ur car and ur own way of expressing your likes on ur ride.
HIDs, check on the forums or go to therpmstore.com
Intake: if you want you can just get the Simota Twin charger CAI and switch it to SRI anytime you want and toss on a AEM DryFlow filter
Springs: if you worry about shocks then i suggest gettin BC Coils from PG.com or just gettin the Tokico Shock/Spring Combo (i have it and its amazing)
and post up pics or ban :D
also if you want you can also do your headlights (black em out) and do the Rear Valence and or many other DIY's.

if you get the accessory harness might be a bit more. either way my buddy ordered a 55w kit for his g8 with the harness and it was under 130 shipped.

You don't need the acc harness if you are running the 35W kit

those tires are complete poop. Do yourself a favor and choose the rims you want from anywhere but order tires from tire rack or some other place and have them mount them for you. Some decent tires. You'll end up spending a little more but it'll be worth it, trust me. I had those on my 17's when I was 16 years old cause I thought I'd be saving money but they're terrible tires.

also, i think with 17 inches tires, you should go with a thiner sidewall, like 215/40, so you are sure it doesn't rub. Personally, those rims are not my taste, and it doesn't seem to have a low offset...low offset rims look great. I dont know your budget but you should start with springs and other mods before buying those rims only because they are cheap..oh you said they are 600? So that mean you have to convert the price into can$+ shipping cost(kinda expensive)+what it cost to pass from us to can.+taxes...Just dont buy thing form the internet when it comes from usa. Just go on eBay and you will save some money and will know exactly what it will cost you to ship(if you really want it). I bought a header form protegegarage and it cost me 400$ all in all so not so great of a deal. Go check on ebay. Also as i think of it, a header is a header so if i had to buy again, i think i would go with a cheap one on ebay(the ones at 100$). Yhea thats about it, and for your rims, just go watch at a local shop if they can have some kind of rims like that, you will save a lot of money.

215/45 is already a pretty small sidewall. a 40 will be extremely thin and youll lose alot of comfort using a rubberband tire like that.

I am running 215/40's on my MSP wheels. That is the closest size to OEM tires so that your speedometer is not thrown off

You should join one or more of the Canadian mazda forums. There are a fair number of vendors from those forums that are often able to offer competitive or better prices. I'm not sure what forums there are on the east coast, but check out http://www.toprotege.com, http://www.clubprotegequebec.com and http://www.ottawamazda.ca.
Mods: I assume that it's OK to post links to other forums. If not, I apologize.
Cheers,

Yup I'm also on CPQ, here's THE place for infos, but for buying and selling it is much easier! Plus I get to write french so I don't spend 2 minutes reading over to make sure I did right what I meant ahah!
These are the rims I'm getting Daï Nebula Hyper Silver, 17x7 +42 offset, on General Exclaim UHP 205/40R17, will be installed next tuesday yay! : (5 bolts of course, don't mind the pic)
