I've read that the standard vacuum reading for the MSP is 20-22.

Is that while your driving and you take your foot off the accelerator or when you are at an idle.

Now to my issue, mine will fluctuate anywhere from 16 to 24, no pattern either, so I'm guessing it's a very small leak somewhere that is getting moved around from engine movement.

Other than a leak, is there anything else that could cause this?

On a completely seperate note, I went to replace my air filter this weekend and could not get the new one in right, so I bought a cheap 20$ cone filter and put it on the end of the pipe just for a temporary solution and shits and grins.
If you don't know exactly what the turkey sounds like, I highly suggest doing this, it made the bpv loud as hell.

i guess thats another confirmation that we still get compresser surge completely stock. as far as your readings go, when my fan kicks on at a stop i get -16 vacuum i tap the gas and it goes back to -20. been led to believe its a voltage issue.
