no idea.. i eyeballed it cuz the front didn't have enough camber to clear.. so i was rubbing. i'm going to get a alignment soon. i'll probably do -2 front and back.

I like it. Im jealous that those wheels can fit ur car. Damn msp fitment.

mofoaka
05-03-2009, 11:50 PM
Hahah.. "fit" is a relative statement.. i rubb in the front on my plastic wheel well.. and i had to roll my rear as u can see.. but at least the rear clears. i dont know if i'd be able to fit 245/40/18s like some. and right now.. i had to eyeball the front camber to clear the fenders. good thing i got these tires on sale.. bridgestone RE01R =D tires will probably go down to 225/40/18

mofoaka

TXspeed6

Wow, they look great and that is a good price too! I would say stay around -1 degree, but that's just my opinion...after 1degree you start loosing treadlife

mofoaka

i'm at -2 all around with 0 toe front and back... i had to reroll the rear fenders.. the front ones are still rubbing.. might have to roll or shave..

id keep it...rubbin means success, as long as you can deal with it, i think it looks soooo mean and you'd be crazy to get rid of those...awesome idea man!

mofoaka
05-06-2009, 10:23 PM
yea... but i'm too scared to drive the car the way its meant to be driven... i like to corner hard.

Where does it exactly rub in the front? You should try putting that blue masking tap around the fenders to see where you rub.

mofoaka
05-10-2009, 03:38 PM
rubs at the tabs where the plastic fender well holds on to the fender itself. its eating through most the plastic.. i'll probaby roll it up a little to make some room

They look nice. Any plans for center caps? Also I think some black lug nuts would look great.

How are you lowered? spring or coilovers?, you may raise it a up a bit and your problem will be solved...

Because that's legal...

on H&R springs... i can either get new tires with lower profile or stiffen the front with koni's .. either way.. neither is rational to do.. for now i'll drive carefully in the turns and dips

I am also on the h&rs with the evo wheels, I think the other guy with evo wheels also has the same springs. Its such a great combo.

If you went with 225/40's, the tires will stretch and the tires will be a little small in diameter. I wouldn't think you would have a problem rubbing.

mofoaka
06-07-2009, 02:31 AM
yea.. but i'm thinking about going 235/40.. since 245/40 is possible i'm just gonna go a big narrower. =D

I bought my evo wheels 2 hours after i posted that last post about the bore size...I am looking at wrapping them in 235/40 has anyone mazda6 owners done this yet?!

mofoaka
06-19-2009, 02:10 AM
no but it'll be fine with 235/40.. members have done 245/40 with these wheels specs .. you need a major roll and slight pull in the back

ugadogs_11
06-19-2009, 08:51 PM
MAJOR ROLL in the back for 245s

does it rub all the time.. or ONLY your cornering..?

if its only why cornering.. .. upgrade your sway to something thicker/stiffer should solve the issue...

had to do it.. to run stggrd wheels on my 3hatch..
