just wondering if the 2.3 mazdaspeed 3 motors are able to drop into a 2003 protege never have heard of anyone doing it please help

With enough money, anything can be done.
But this is not something that would be practical in any way.

i already have the motor a friend owed me money and gave me to me when he totalled his car i can weld and fab just wondering if i need to do a wiring harness which im sure i prolly do and what else ill need(axles tranny mounts etc)

but ya it can be done, i saw a guy on hear not to long ago who wanted to do a 13b rotary swap with 3 turbos...must of been (smoke) something

It should theoretically fit...if you;re gonna do the work youll save all the fab work labor. Good luck...post pics when done.
Side note: don't see why it wont be practical as in stock form the MZR motor would output what most built FS motors are at.

and why is the dx 2.0 motors are slow and i guess i could take the turbo off the mazdaspeed motor and build a manifold i guess but would like to be a lil different

If I remember right the mazda 3's are drive by wire. so you would need a complete standalone to run it. and a trans that can handle the power
