Well for some reason the msp will not blow off. I have hard pipes down to the stock ic and regular pipes everywhere elso. I have a greddy rs valve and the maf behind the valve and also a type s and neither blow off. Been running the car like this for over a year and now the bov stopped working and is causing compressor surge. I've adjusted them and nothing. Car also has the cel on. I don't have a boost guage and i know i need one but right now it doesn't have one. I replaced the vac line to the Wastegate and no change. I've been reading posts about msp's and bad wgas on them but i want to know if the wga is bad will the bov still work. the vac line is coming from the stock T to the bov and to the Intake manifold. Running a new line on the bov. Replaced the elbow in the line that connects to the manifold but kept the stock line. I dont think its cracked. Would a boost leak from the hardpipe where the stock recirc valve is located cause it not to blow off? Also I can see the stock pipe expand when i rev it so it might not be a boost leak. Any help is appreciated thanks.

well i figured any vacuum leak will cause the car to not blow off.

If the wga is bad it will mess with a bov

I had a wga go bad, unlike orthers that get unlimited boost I got 1-2psi. The blowoff valve would not go off and no matter how hard I'd rev it I got none to little boost.
You need a boost gauge to tell you how the car is doing on a car with a maf this sensitive.

Yean a boost guage is in order but i would have to run it from another manifold source because the one with the wastegate hooked up would just be a vacuum leak and would cause the guage to not work. I'm just going to disconnect the wastegate at the T fitting and see if it will blow off. If it does then atp here i come.

something more than your BOV will blow off (bolt)

Ordered the Atp wastegate. Looks like a pain to install while on the car though. Really dont want to drop the turbo out to change it. Any suggestions? Disconnected the wastegate line and ran it straight to the bov so if it gets into boost i can blow it off but not driving to get into boost. Atp has expensive shipping though. 13 bucks for ground shipping. USPS would be like 7 priority mail. And the thing ways only 1 pound.

Finally got the wastegate installed after about 2 months of driving under 3 grand and quick shifting. The install sucked. Anyways i removed the intake and upper charge pipe, heat shield o2 sensor, egr, pipe off the j pipe with the 3 bolts, exhaust bracket that is screwed into the block, plastic cover over the valve cover, and exhaust manifold with the turbo still attached. I was able to pull the manifold forward enough to get rachet down there to unscrew the wastegate bolts that hold it in the bracket. Then used a straight slot/flathead screwdriver to remove the c clip holding the wastegate arm. From there i reinstalled the atp wastegate and had to pull the arm out a little for it to catch the wastegate arm. I reinstalled the c clip and bolted everything back up and everything is great now.
