Boost question

Hi my friend just bought a 03 spicy with a Afc and a Turbosmart Mbc everything else is stock , its running 10 Psi and he wishes to lower it to 8 Psi for safety. We tried lowering it by 2 to 4 clicks on the Mbc and still stays at 10 Psi , any ideas ? Thank you .

I think you or your freind should take the mbc off until he has more mods he could blow he's engine even at 8 psi.

ya just take the mbc off, I know that the JoeP xz mbc, or whatever it is called, has to be almost completely unscrewed and it is at 8psi, and until you get more mods, don't even bother turning up the psi, not with it, you'll just heatsoak faster, and a greater chance of blowing the engine.. won't have the car for too long.. have your friend read the "daily drivers mod list" .. that sticky at the top of the page, look through that

if there is one single mod to have running an MBC, an AFC is it... as long as he's tuning for it it should be fine... Though I agree, he's not seeing the benefit of the extra PSI that he would with supporting mods.
