At low boost what is the problem with the stock sidemount? Is it heat soak, pressure drop, restriction to airflow, ect? If heat soak is the problem why don't people run intercooler sprayers? I ran one on my wrx and with just the sprayer and Utec tune it made a 20-30 hp difference on a hot day from a stoplight.

Just heatsoak, because its sooooo tiny. Run an intercooler sprayer. Whatever trips your trigger.

its just too inefficient. it heatsoaks incredibly fast and has too much pressure drop.

Heatsoak is easy to fix, but pressure drop is a problem. Has anyone measured the pressure drop?

I can setup a very effective sprayer for about $12 that will do 95% of what a fmic would without the added complexity or lag. Don't get me wrong... Ultimately a sprayer is a bandaid while a fmic is corrective surgery. I just don't have the money or desire to go under the knife. (at least right now)

I'll do some searching and see if I can find anything on the subject from hiboost. Thanks!
