It started about 2 months ago.

It was the end of winter so I had my OEM turbo pipes and air box, my custom cat-less downpipe with MIL eliminator + Racing Beat catback. I felt that the car was slow to respond when I was hiting the accelerator. The boost quickly jumps to 0 then progresses slowly to 6 psi.

I changed all vaccums lines to the wastegate and BPV and nothing.

I changed the OEM WGA for an ATP WGA and nothing.

I installed the summer gear: Street Unit SMIC + Hot and cold pipes, Injen CAI, Forge BPV and.....nothing.

It seems that the condition gets worse with heat.

When I installed the new wastegate actuator, I noticed oil seeming through some of the turbo connections; not a big surprise since the car has 99,500 km (about 60K miles).

I'm trying to convince myself that the turbo is still good even though I have been driving the car with all these mods since the car original purchase in 2003.

Am I missing something here? A faulty TB maybe? Fuel pump?

Thanks for your help.

Anybody has any ideas?

I'm pretty sure that the turbo is U/S; most probable the wastegate itself is tired. Sometimes, the delay at wich the turbo goes to full boosts varies. Weird.

I noticed something else today:

If you accelerate from 0-60, the car boosts pretty well. Once I leave it in gear at a steady speed, then downshifts to accelerate, then the boost guage quickly jumps to 0psi then slowly boosts up to 9psi.

Feels just like the worse turbo lag ever.

How much oil are you losing, how do the plugs look. Clean out the pipes and seafoam the car, see if that makes it feel better.
