Hey im pretty new to posting this forum but i been looking around it for a little while after my younger brother told me about it. Its a great website and i love it!

But anyway, I crapped out my transmission on accident. I'm not exactly to sure what happened, but basically I was leaving a parking lot so i went into 1st gear, but without realizing, I was only halfway in gear (the shifter didnt "click" all the way in). I gunned it wot and rode it like that till nearly redline but had to pop it back into neutral for a red light. At the green light, I went back into 1st gear, but after engageing the clutch, it barley moved forward! I managed to inch my car off to the side of the road and hit the emergencies. While chillen on the side, I found that i can put my car through all the gears with the clutch fully engaged and it wont go anywhere.

The clutch has pressure and seems fine (though i've been needing to bleed them) and so do the gears which can still grind. Someone told me i may have blown my final drive which seems possible, but less likely considering facts. My brother and I both think I grinded down the spindle which seems the most probable.

Anyways, I'm going to drop the tranny when i have some time and see whats going on down there; I really hope you guys can help me. A good forum is a wealth of information, and though I've searched, results came up inconclusive. I'd appreciate any help/tips/advise no matter how minor or major it may be. There is always something to be learned. Thanks alot in advance!

Gears move correctly into place but no movement from your car = most likely LSD failure and a few hundred bucks outta your pockets! :P

Especially if you were gunning your car which puts alot of stress on our fragile LSD, get it welded like Outlawstar98 says and it'll be indestructible.

This is where you need to weld.

So let's say is is the LSD ,which, I'm really hoping, is it possible to just weld the LSD back and better without having to pick up a new one?

Nope, you'll need a new one (650$CAN) and weld it. You can't repair a broken LSD.
