maybe an obvious question , but i feel that my car does it more than a car should normally do do this, if it is normal im nto sure lol, anyways heres the problem, wen i am drivign my car and i turn my a/c on the car runs terribly, acceleration sucks, and the cars power just feels liek it goes down the drain, and right wne i turn the a/c off the car runs normal again. what exactly is this, and is it normal?

roll your windows down and don't run it.....

when the ac compressor is on it sucks a good bit of power off the motor

i know the feeling....any car there is a power loss with the ac turned on....just the bigger the motor the less the difference

Same here, had to learn to live with windows rolled down in hot and humid weather lol... Sucks out power, sucks out gas, not a good combination imo.

the only time i really run ac is on interstate driving....and you do get better mpg with windows up and ac on

i like speed

Mine does this too. The lack of power doesn't bother me as much as everything in the engine bay rattling from the extra load.

For a while there I thought my car just sucked, however, seems like this is a common issue. I guess I should've figured. I love my 480 air conditioning system (4 windows down at 80 miles an hour). Georgia weather is hot already which sucks but I love windows down v. a/c. Even when I had a car with a bigger engine, I still rode windows down.

Window a/c FTW!

Every car I've ever owned sucks when the A/C is running!
