Im a fairly smart guy. Ive taken a motor out of a car, and helped with a motor swap. But for the life of me I can not find where to open the key fob for the Mazda5. I want to change the battery to see if I can extend the range which is dwindling.

TIA

it is actually pretty easy.

1. get the key part and fob part separated
2. look inside of the fob and you will see a triangle pointing forward (where buttons are). With the use of a little flat head screwdriver or something like that gently force it open.
3. once opened you will see the battery coded "73". That's where you have to replace the battery and put you keyfob back together.

Hope that helps.
