I have a full set of medieval motor mounts, but it all came in one box. and theres a long (3" bolt maybe?) that came with it, is that for the frount mount? cause I just reused the stock one, and now i have alot of bad sounding vibration at 1-3.5k RPM's and its getting me annoyed.

(my stock mount is like destroyed HAHA i laughed)

EDIT: Ok i saw a pic that he had, it goes to the side mount does it not? But I dont know why it rattles so much, im going to do a oil change though. And maybe new spark plugs.

When you put stiffer mounts in the car is going to vibrate alot more in the cabin and out of the cabin.

Well its only when im moving and after I shift in lower RPM's, I guess im not used to it cause for the last 6 months I had torn motor mounts (they look sooooooooooooooooooooooo bad LOL)

Thats odd. My vibrations are when I'm sitting at idle.

Idle is smooth for me. It almsot sounds like gears sliping together lol, but not loud, but I can feel it. My dad says it sound and seams fine when i drove him. so I dont know :(

with the stiffer mounts as haze20 said the vibrations from the engine will be transmitted throughout the car. It may not be a mount making that sound it may be something else vibrating because of the vibrations from the motor.

Sorry to bump an old thread but...

Why would you buy a set of mounts that would make the car vibrate more?

I think my OEM's are shot (224,000) found a set of Medieval on ebay for $240 shipped (for all 4), glad I did some research before taking the plunge...

What is the alternative? OEM's?

I would think you would want to replace your MM's to reduce vibration, not make the kids it the back seat numb from the seat vibrating...

the only reason to get stiffer mounts is in fact to increase vibrations. no one likes carrying passengers, so if thats what it takes to get people out of your car...

or they could reduce engine movement, reduce wheel hop, and help translate more power to the ground. take your pick.

^ reduce engine movement? reduce wheel hop? help translate more power to the ground?

It's no race-car, its just a, slow, FWD passenger vehicle. Or mine is...

I'll save the performance upgrades for the bimmer.

Seriously, are there any OEM-like alternatives that don't cost an arm and a leg? This car is just my DD, it has over 224,000 miles and the OEM mounts are shot...

no, all the aftermarket upgrades that i'm aware of will cause significantly more vibrations. Even the medieval mounts, which were supposed to be very good about vibrations (and which i don't think you can get anymore) added alot of vibration to mine. I think if you want stock feel, your only option is stock.
