I took my car to the dealership because it was misfiring, they said it was the plugs, so I replaced them and that helped a little, as it did not do it as bad but it still bogs down and throws a cel and sometimes it flashes, runs very slow when it happens.(cel-random misfire) I can remove the battery cable and it will run fine for awhile then it will start all over again.

yeah it was running good for most of the time but then i went to race a cavalier z24 and it started jumping and boosting up and down and acting really wierd but if i dident take it to boost you couldnt even notice the missfire and u couldent tell at idle either only during hard acceleration it happend sometimes like maybe 25% of the time

well when it happens you can floor it and it hardly even moves and sometimes backfires, but for the most part it runs great when thats not happening

sounds to me like you have a vacume leak.the number one cause of a random misfire is a leak.very rarely will plugs/coils cause a multpile misfire.knowing these msp's id say you prob have a intakle manifold leaking, but what you need to do is hook a smoke machine up to your intake system and see where the smoke leaks out..

put the new coil pack on and seems to idle better and excellerate better than it did. I think if I had a vacume leak the car would run bad all the time, not just every once in awhile, I believe the coil packs fixed my problem, but thank for your helping, and thanks to the rest of you for the help you gave me!
