I just installed my CAI into my car and its rained the past 5 out of 7 days since i was installed. I have yet to be able to buy a hydroshield for it, will it do damage to my engine??

you have to drive through some serious water, like small flood of water, but you really should get a hydrasheild or an AEM one way valve or both.

Just watch out for puddles and you will be fine.

bypass is a no-no with the speed6 (if thats what you have)

otherwise, like the guys above said, just watch out for big puddles and you'll be fine.

AEM CAI bypass valves can not be used on turbo cars.

If its not turbo then the AEM by pass will work very well for your car. If you watch AEM's videos of it, they actually stick the intake off a NSX in a bucket of water and the bypass keeps any water from entering the engine.

As far as which one would fit... well, I can't help you there, they are in sizes by diameter (2.25", 2.5" etc.) If you need the link to the aem website to help you pick what size you need PM me. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post it since they are not a vendor on here and they do sell stuff.

Edit: Just to clariry, this by pass valve is NOT the same as BPV as in a BOV (blow off valve) set in recirc for turbo cars.
