OK. so I've tried the carb cleaner trick - trying to find a vac leak, and nothing. The car doesnt ALWAYS do this bad idle. Seems to mostly happen when the cars cold - although it can happen at any time (argh)
It can get worse then this. Sometimes it will stall if i dont rev it up a bit
Things ive done;
1. Cleaned EGR
2. Carb cleaner trick
3. Cleaned MAF
4. New air filter

Here's my suggestion for you. Clean and lighlty re-oil your injen filter. Replace your pcv. Check and replace your spark plugs if necessary. Run some Seafoam through your pcv hose and put the rest in your gas tank at your next fill up.
In 74,000 miles I have never cleaned my EGR or had an low idle issue. Maybe its just luck but I like to think its been the numerous Seafoam treatments, pcv changes and keeping fresh plugs in at all times. Injen has been cleaned 3 times.
Most likely your issue is being caused by something simple.

you only need to remove a few screws of the splash shield to get to the filter. its not that big of a deal really. unless you live and drive on dusty roads it should not need to be cleaned that often.
I'd do the seafoam treatment, pcv and plugs first and see what happens.

I use a Purolator PV1047 but you could get on from Napa, just get the one for a 2001 Millenia Supercharged as it fits better and is designed for boost.
Now you have a spare filter. Clean it with the K&N recharge kit so its ready to go when your new one needs a recharge.

no codes / cels
car did no bad idling today. seems the air filter did the trick... i do however have kind of low vac. seems to be around 16-18 at idle. may have to do some hardcore searching for a leak
