Borla Exhaust hanger rattle against underbody

Why does Borla make their exhaust hangers so long? The hanger by the resonator is rubbing on the underbody of my car. When around 2k rpm decelerating i get an awful rattle from it right under by center console area. Wedged a piece of rubber under it and stopped for a day. I could try to put a piece of vaccume tubing on the hanger. Any other suggestions and has anyone else had this problem?

its just a hanger so can you bend it away from the body without throwing off the center of the tip in the cut out?

Not sure. I'd have to take the whole exhaust off to try it and aren't the hangers some pretty solid metal. I'm sure it would be very hard to do if it can be done. Would have been nice if borla just made the hangers with a lip at the end like the stock hangers are. Oh well. I did reposition the piece of rubber that is wedged in there and it stopped again. Will see how long that lasts this time.
