Just wanted to introduce myself. Just traded in my 2004 Evo8 with 92500 miles on it and 307hp/300tq in for a 2008 black speed3 sport with 56 miles on it. They gave me an awesome deal I couldn't turn down and with a newborn it was time for the evo to go. The plan is to keep it stock for a while but I doubt that's going to happen lol. See some of you around the NW chicago burbs hopefully.

Congrats! How are you finding the transition from AWD to FWD?

Why did the EVO 'have to' go?

Well... I'm still under 500 miles so I haven't really pushed the MS3 hard yet, but the couple hard corners I've taken it feels better in the turns then the evo (even though the evo had coilovers). I think the coilovers were just too stiff for the streets on the evo. Haven't had any snow yet either but i'm sure i'll miss the evo in the winter lol. I think the hardest transition so far is a 5-speed to a 6-speed... I keep forgetting I have another gear and sometimes accidently put it in 4th :( haha

Why did the EVO 'have to' go?

The evo had to go cause I made a big mistake and bought an evo with high miles on it to begin with and it was killing me and I had to get out from under it. It wasn't a very smooth DD. And it was making quite a few noises I didn't want to deal with anymore. Maybe not very good reasons but the big one was the money issue...

Must haves for the Ms3 imo:
Rear motor mount, cobb or cpe intake, full length downpipe, TWM short shifter w/bushings.

you should make this the national anthem for all those people who keep ranting about evos and wanting to "upgrade" to one. It's definately not an economical car for those who DD.

Great dela on the speed, rare to find a 2008 model with only 56 miles! Dealership leftover? I bet you got a killer deal on it then!

Yeah, I actually like the feel of the ms3 better then the evo. A lot easier on my son too. He does miss the loud exhaust though so maybe that'll be my excuse lol. It was a good deal on my end lol. Its a 2008.5 sport and got it OTD for $18k and some change. The list was $22,500
