So a CEL came on about 2 weeks ago and I got it read by autozone and it was the pre-cat o2 sensor..I got the sensor put it in, and got the code deleted. Then it came on again about a week ago, this time it was the post cat sensor, again i got the part and changed it. Another CEL came on yesterday and its another o2 sensor (this one was read by a friends code reader) and its saying that its the o2 sensor again, but i already changed the post and pre cat sensors. is there a third one that's hiding somewhere? Any help would be appreciated.

some cars do have 3 02 sensors i believe those are the ultra low emissions in cali and some north eastern states (me and vt i believe) otherwise you should only have 2. if its giving you 02 sensor issues how is your cat? how many miles on your car? what kind of mods do you have done to it?

Hmm, I didn't think of the cat..that could be a possibility. I have about 25K on the odo and the only mod I have is a CAI. I'll check out the cat when I get out of work. Thanks

if you only have 25k and just a cai for mods bring it in to the dealer you could put the oem intake system back on to cover your ass. but that should be covered under warranty.

What year of car? O2 sensors should still be covered.

It's an 06, I hate going to the dealership, but I might as well.

even the california emissions cars have 2 o2 sensors. just because its an o2 sensor code doesn't mean its the o2 sensor thats the issue. what was the freeze fram data with the code?
