I Just saw Fast and furious and it wasn't that bad I went with low expectation and came out very surprise. Of course there was some parts in the movie when your like what the fuck that can't really happen in real life. But you can't go see a movie and think its real, it entertainment it all in fun. I recommend any body who wants to see the movie to see it. Plus all the ricer kids doing burnouts is pretty funny then you see the cops come out of the corner and you the ricers get pulled over and thats just hilarious

I wouldn't worry about that just don't be an ass in the parking lot or leaving the theater and you shouldn't get pulled over. Unless there a shit load of ass hole cops by you.

Their are a shit load of asshole cops in jacksonville. I've gotten tickets for going to slow(forgot to speed up after coming out of a construction zone late at night), tickets for 1 tag light being out of 2, pulled over numerous times becuase a previous car looked like a beater for a routine traffic stop about three times a week, etc... etc... etc...
They all have turned into dicks for the most part due to the bad rep of one officer who hit and killed an old man doing 90+ in a 45 with no lights on or anything. Then the officer lied and stated his lights were on.

Well just got back. And like most my extremely low expectations before seeing this movie left me with a smile when i left(burnout). much better than i expected. I loved the country boy(notcool)" muscle beats imports every time" that guy makes me not want to admit i have a cobra.(freak)......horrible. Plus anyone else notice that the STi was missing its drive shaft after that crash. maybe it fell off. maybe they removed it(uhm)......FWD STi FTL

its a crash car. it doesnt matter if it has a driveshaft because its not meant to be driven.

Yeah i noticed the driveshaft as well. I just will give them the benifit of the doubt and say it flew off in the crash. But as we all know is just a pos car they use to wreck. Oh well.
Really liked the movie. I too went in not really thinking it was going to be that good but came out very surprised and thought it was great. I love the scene at the funeral with all the ricers out front!

Yeah I deffinitly agree. I really like tokyo drift and this one. The first two were a little over done imo. The second one especially the first one was to but its the first one so you gotta love it lol. I'm going tomorrow to see it again lol. I just like seeing a movie about cars on the big screen.(rockon)

It was ok at best. Then again the viewing experience was hampered by dozens of teenage hoodlums that wouldn't shut the f*ck up during the movie.
The plot was as thin as rice paper and predictable, the action scenes were sometimes ENTIRELY CGI. I don't know if I'm the only one but it seemed to have more time spent in Fed office conferences than actual car scenes.
Paul Walker's character pics 3 imports from city impound yet he never drives the best of them all- the red GTR. Heck, you don't even see it- how cheap! Instead he drives an older blue GTR that powerslides wayyyyy to easy for AWD.
Leaving the movies sucked because we were treated to the expected ricer burnouts and unecessary loud revs. In fact we had a blue MS3 in front of us that was driving like a complete ass hat. It's sooo anoying. Maybe it was a member here. Theater was the Regal at CrossKeys in South Jersey. If so...you should be ashamed of yourself.

O god yes she is! Thought it was pretty good, I wasnt sure what to expect after Tokyo Drift, interesting how they started it off tho with a flashback. The Porsche didnt fit the movie though, even in just a few scenes. Disappointed no MS3 also! No ricer issues where I was, although I went to a 1055 show and 17 yr old driving curfew is Midnight. Anyone think the ending was left for a possible 5th one??

i personally thought the movie was complete crap. nothing really entertaining with the cars unless you like watching cars going cgi through some tunnels/caves as entertainment. movie was way too long too. just my .02. i'll stick with tokyo drift in terms of the F&F franchise.

The movie couldn't take place between 2 and 3, the opening scene had to have been a flashback .. Do you not remember at the end of Tokyo Drift, last scene, Vin Diesel races? He cant race if hes in prison ......... (uhm)

No im definitely not stupid or a dumbass. Point made, thought about that after I made the post, it doesnt matter though. We are all speculating about a 5th, if they take it back to Japan then why are they bouncing around again in this series? IMO the movies are all over the place.

lol i didnt mean to be so offensive, haha my bad, but i think they made tokyo drift, just trying to be different, and then they threw vin diesel in at the end to try to make it similar to the first two, and then they decided it left WAAAYYY to many holes, which it did for me at least.
so this one was made to fill the holes, and now theyll get back on track... my ideas.

So I saw the original Fast & Furious in 2001 while a sophomore in high school and just about when tuning cars in our generation exploded. I remember what an incredible rush it was getting out on the road and eventually working on my car myself. I think any and all of us captured in the tuning of our cars would say they liked the original...I saw the new one this past friday and the cars are better, the action is amazing and the storyline took less of the "boy street racer" theme. I left the theater with rekindled spirits of being 16 again and I am trying soo hard to fight the urge to put a suspension kit on my Speed 3. It's tough being 23, with a job, saving for a house with a gf and with the govt. giving $8000 to all first time home buyers...what do I do?
RC08MS3
04-06-2009, 08:17 PM
wow, uhhh, dont let a movie sway your financial situation? not to be a dick but i think a house is a higher priority than suspension on a car. and im sure the GF isnt gonna stick long if all u decide to do is mod a car rather than buy a house. house = investment, car = moneypit. save for the house bro, cars will ALWAYS be there, good deals on a home like right now may come and go and never come back

Save for the house, interest rates are too low to pass up right now... besides, the house will give you somewhere to install those springs you get next spring with the $8k!!

I hope this credit doesn't lead to people buying homes they can not afford because that is what lead in large part to the financial melt down we are experiencing now. The $8000 is not coming out of thin air, it's being charge to and placed on the backs of future generations and there is a train wreck the likes the world has never seen just over the horizen. You would still be crazy not to jump on the house, just be modest in your purchase because the bridge is out and the train is going full steam.
chuyler1
04-06-2009, 11:20 PM
Don't let the banks or govt tell you how much of a house you can afford. Do the math yourself. Ask home owners what they pay each month for utilities. Calculate in new stuff you'll have to buy (furniture, a lawn mower, etc). Double check property taxes, and make sure you have enough left over at the end of the month for your usual expenses. A money management application such as Quicken is a great investment and will help you track your income vs. spending.
Also watch out for ARM mortgages. Don't bank on the interest rates staying the same or going down. If you can't afford the payment when the rate swings 2%, you can't afford the home. That's why a fixed-rate mortage, even if the rate is higher is a much safer solution in such an unstable economy.
There is no need for the financial advice...nobody has mentioned the movie yet. It was good and you should see it.

fenders didnt need to be rolled. But after putting 25mm spacers on to space the stock wheels out, THEN I needed to roll my rear fenders, but used a baseball bat and it worked fine :)

I actually have dropzone springs. Bought them off ebay, they are 1.4 front and 1.4 rear drop. So just as much as the H&R springs everyone pays well over $200 for, they probably ride the same as the H&R as well. I've used dropzone spring son my wife's jetts for a year and a half now and the car still rides awesome, no blown shocks, no inside tire camber wear either.
Sure i'd love a set of BCs, but damn $800+ for coils is a lot of money for a daily driver
