Outlawstar98
04-01-2009, 06:35 PM
I think it looks good, But it says tiresize is 225/30/20r

to small for me LOL I would want bigger sidewalls

Wagonbacker9
04-01-2009, 06:37 PM
30 profile isn't that bad... on a 20 thats already musta rolled the shit outa the rear fenders to get that much tire under there.... its actually only 2.8% bigger than stock (rolling distance)...

215/35s would be 5.3% larger in circumference... which would still be tolerable...

Outlawstar98

IT says he grind'd the Hubs 5 MM also

But the lip is a killer on the yellow msp.

Thats exactly what I want to do to my MSP but with 17s!

Rush
04-01-2009, 09:38 PM
That looks absolutely retarded.

I had 18's on my MSP, and I thought that was pushing it. 20's are just moronic. Wheels that big do NOT belong on a Protege in any way, shape or form. They look incredibly awkward and are flat-out TOO big.

Not to mention the fact that I bet having those wheels on has probably LIFTED the car, relatively speaking.

Stupid.

that's hardcore.. not my cup of tea, as in i would never do it. but i do like the color, and the lip.. very nice. something different.

Legal I doubt that. I do know with a doc note that it can be but I'm not 100% sure on that.

atleast its nicely done. i agree dubs are too big on the protege but its obvious this guy likes big wheels. the wheels are custom painted to match the car so he spent alotta time and cash. im sure it wasnt easy to get these to fit. and its not like they are some gawdy, made in china, chrome wheels. tho its not your cup of tea atleast respect him for doing something different and the effort spent in time and money(hi)

Not my taste but it looks okay if u look at it from far away. And as for the tinted windshield. Its possible but u need connections.

I gotta give him one thing: it is definitely different and well finished.

I personally think its waaaaaay overboard, but an A for effort.

The rims are painted they could be the usual 45lbs 20inch chrome rims. I don't like it personally. Don't like black rims or rims with a lip on the MSP. We can't run a low enough offset to get the right effect in my opinion.

04-02-2009, 10:10 PM
its pretty clean and well done, but i think they should have done it with 18's and a big brake kit to make it proportionate. I personally wouldn't roll 20's because i like the agility of my msp.

i will give him an A for effort, at least its not chrome 20's

props for doing something different with the msp. biggest ive seen is the spicey with 19's. i think 18's slamed looks the best and the ride shouldnt be that bad either depending on the tire size. it could be alot worse.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who feels that way. Nice car, and decent wheels, but wheels that big on a car with our dimensions really looks like ass.

All it needs is one of those diamoniqe crusted 20" badges. those wheels in 17's dumped why not, but 20's are nasty. I will feel bad for that person if they ever register here.
