How's the leather quality on the MS6 seats? Is it really any better than cloth?

The cloth fabric looks unusual, maybe like some sort of breathable sport cloth (like the MS3). Can anyone comment?

I've got the cloth in mine, and it's not a typical cloth material, but I like it better. My old Protege had sueded cloth and was a dust and dirt magnet, the MS6 seats are much more resilient to dust and easier to clean.

Ive got leather in mine. Ive never seen a cloth interior speed 6 in person but ive seen pictures and it seems like the same material as the speed 3. Im not 100% on that though. Anyway ill speak for the leather which is by no means lexus quality but its well made and looks sharp. I personally think leather is better simply because its easier to clean / looks better over time if you take care of it.

Are the seats all-cloth, or do they use leather bolsters? There's very few good photos out there.

They are all cloth. Sides are black, centers are black with small silver spec in them. Very nice though.

Leather looks good too, but I've seen a lot of lightly used ones with really bad wrinkles forming. If you keep it conditioned, it'll stay nice, but you gotta do that from day 1 to protect it.

all cloth interiors with a reinforced material on the side bolsters... While I like the look of the leather interior in the end I prefer the cloth simply cause its not burning hot in the summer or freezing cold in the winter compared to leather...

And are all the seats heated, or was that leather-only?

Only leather seats are heated.

And it wasn't an option? Seems to be tricky to find a nice GT around here. Everything has cloth with no sunroof, heated seats, etc. Might just have CarMax transfer one from Texas and eat the $599 transfer fee.

Sport model only came with cloth seating, GT only with leather. You could also only get the sunroof on the GTs. I love the leather in mine, the fiance loves the heaters.

Looks like I'm holding out for a GT or paying for the transfer. Thanks, all.

Really?

I have cloth and a sunroof, no navigation. What the heck do I have? lol

BTW I love the cloth in mine and have gotten many compliments on it.

Is the sunroof factory? I doubt it.

Yeah it is, or at least looks like it. I haven't seen any other MS6's but the controls match the rest of the car exactly and they are all one touch.

3 seperate buttons for open/close/and vent?

Take a pic of the sunroof and controls. It's too hard to tell from here.

Gladly, just gotta wait a couple of days. It's at the dealership right now.

Sounds like an aftermarket sunroof to me. The factory one only had two 2-switches (slide and vent) and was not one touch. Wish the factory one had one touch open/close/vent.

I love my sunroof but I heard someone mention they had one that closed when you turned the car off. Mine doens't do this. Enjoying not using my A/C while it lasts. Soon the florida sun will roast me.

Went and drove an 07 MS6 GT, fully loaded (including nav). I like the leather, but the navigation system was kinda weird. Not crazy about it.

But I do want the leather, so I guess I have to figure if I should just wait for a good one locally or just get Carmax to do the transfer.

Did Mazda make more of the GT or the Sport model?

Reason I ask is when I was looking at picking one up 4 months ago, it was very hard to find a Sport model (only looked at one out of about 7). But between the two I drove, I'm glad I went with the GT

For some reason, I prefer cloth seats over leather. I've had both. Am I alone in this?

That was me, now it's starting to make sense why mine closes when turning of the ignition and no one elses does. Also the one touch buttons. Mine must be aftermarket then.

And not trying to thread jack but I still say cloth seats!!!

Jazzman: I have always prefered cloth over leather, I thought I was the only one.
