does the AP allow 100% control over the TP by enabling it to stay open at WOT?

I don't think it allows you to do that yet. I believe it opens it wider but not to full.

i think the AP only opens the throttle plate like 73%(not for sure) but allows for boost to be held till redline, instead of it dropping by 5500rpm

I believe they have full control of it. http://www.accessecu.com/accessport/mazda/AP-MAZ-02/MS3Maps.html

The AP has full control. Full Throttle is 90%, the AP opens 80%+ till redline. Normally mine is around 87% on runs.

Now is there benefit to full control? Dunno.

That is THE question, especially above 5,500 rpm.

The ability to hold the throttle close to full open and have the technical capability of flowing more air/fuel mixture into the intake manifold means very little if the restriction on flow rate through the the turbo compressor turbine and housing is already maxed out.

That's seems to be what is happening with our little stock K04 turbo when rpm's exceed 5,500 or so.
