my '08 SPEED3 is pulling up P2402 engine code and i'm 200 miles from an authorized dealer-any idea how damaging the condition is to my motor or how cost effective it would be to do myself vs taking to dealer? only 12,000 miles love the car just don't like the mil being on already.

My CEL came on today, the local autozone pulled the code, and it's the P2402 code as well.

I found this on the MS6 section. . . ideas on what it is?

Had this same code about a week ago. Light was on for about two days then went off. Dealer replaced the leak detection pump under warranty. I'm at around 14k miles

checked it last night, it was on there tight. gas light went on after about 220 miles after my last fill up.

checked it. filled up tonight, made sure it clicked a bunch of times. still on, we'll see what happens tomorrow.

Made an appointment at the dealer for next week Monday. They could have fit me in on Thursday, but I'm driving to MI Friday AM and I want my car for the road trip, not a loaner from Mazda.
