I'm looking for a lightweight 16" wheel for my '09, style isn't so much important as is weight. Can anyone name one or two?

Hi Mark787B,
I think it makes more sense to post it under this area as is more of a common question, not really a Want to Buy or Want to Sell thing for the Marketplace

Ah thanks; I noticed right after I posted that I was in the wrong forum...
Having said that, it appears as though the 5 has always had 17" wheels on it from Mazda, at least here in the U.S.

Yes indeed. Europe offers steelies with caps (15's and 16's), Canada alloys 16's and 17's but the US just the 17's alloys
If you are looking for alloys I would give it a try under the Mazda3 area, the 16's offered on the Mazda3 should fit the Mazda5 with no issue, and they are still OEM "Mazda", right? :)

The info. is much appreciated; always difficult when switching vehicles and not knowing what fits within models...

Yup, just double check first ;), I have not tried it, but being Mazda they try to reuse as much design, parts, etc. as possible between models (and the Mazda3-Mazda5 excel on that).
Now, the only ones I remember don't fit are the 15" ones. The European Mazda5 with 15"wheels actually has a smaller brake pads' ratio, I read that somewhere
