what would happen if both maf sensor and o2 sensor <the 2 sensors on the downpipe> were bad, scratched badly, or unpluged even? AND what would running 5/20 oil do? hypo speaking.

I'd stop speaking hypothetically and actually fix the problem. Still our cars have problems with the MAF without air flow straighteners so I would make sure to replace that.

5w 20 oil would probably cause your turbo seals to leak. If anything you want a heavier weight. The maf is the most important sensor in the car.
