hey everybody, i'm thinking of getthing these:

to replace my license plate lights, it says i need bulb sizes of *168/194/2825*. Is the size of the 09 mazda 6 lights the same as the ones from the previous gen?

194 are a pretty standard size. Yes, the first gen 6 has the same ones for license plate bulbs (although they can be called about a dozen different types)

did you install the bulbs? and if so, how bright are they?

here's mine. sorry for the quality it was from my phone. it adds a nice look to it and the install was simple. took less than 5 minutes. you just have to remove the black cover on the trunk lid by removing all the little black pins. and twist out the two bulbs from the housing. after that its just a simple swap. IMO i think its worth the 2 dollars for the lights and 5 mins of my time

I've got similar 'cool white' 194 LEDs from www.superbrightleds.com

Also, if you want more of the Lexus-type license plate lights, you'll want the 'warm white' color. They're more pure white light than stock, but not as blue as the cool white ones.

Mine looks whiter in person. But its the combination of the paint and the license plate that makes it look bluer than it really is in the picture.
