It just means that the check engine dash light has been commanded to come on. From what I've seen/read, it often comes on when another code is thrown.

I got it once when I failed to properly clip one the electrical connector to one of the coils back on and I got a "cylinder #2 mis-fire" code. I just reset it along with the other code and all was well...

Yeah it is a common code with the AP. I always get it when I get my Cat Warmup code for my DP. My DashHawk does not get that code at all.
