just the initial install sir. i can't find a powdercoater to do the whole thing.. plus, powdercoating is EXPENSIVE.

LOL, that cage would be 100-150ish. to get done for me :)
come up here to LPC :D they are out of landsdale, and do a bitchin job! (thats where im going to get my rims and GT Spec parts done at!!)
And can u put the rear seats all the way back with them? where do they bolt up at?? its confusing to me.

i spent 600.00 on all of my gt spec parts to get powdercoated, and some small motor parts.. lol..
it mounts to the floor and behind the seat(where you would access the strut mount), it's FAIRLY straight forward. i installed it by myself in a cold as shop in about 18degree weather.. now i have to take it out, and weld it in..
yes, the seats will work, they push up against the bar, so i'm going to pull out some of the seat padding it'll be bitchin.
Outlawstar98
03-03-2009, 08:20 PM
so your going to weld it, how can you weld it and have it powdercated? cause if i do get that im going to get it welded in. But i also want it to be gold :) (to match my rims and GT spec parts)
SCMP3
03-03-2009, 08:34 PM
really dumb question but are people gonna be able to sit in the back seat with the cage? and how does it attach? and are you guys able to use the stock seatbelts on the aftermarket seats? or is it stricktly harnesses?
MSP2024
03-03-2009, 08:36 PM
could someone be back there,yes,comfotably,no
and yes you can use the seat belt, look at some of the pics there using the normal one
boostdprotegelx
03-03-2009, 08:37 PM
powdercoat first i suppose. or paint... and then weld. it'll work..
and scmp3- as far as CAN people... yes people CAN sit in the back. but i'm going to have harnesses.. cuz if i were to wreck and someone in the rear hit their...any part of their body on the metal it'd break. lol. so i'll be having hardcore harnesses. and prolly some of that foam stuff to cover it.

Once i get the cage, F' people sitting in the back HAHA, they arnt allowed. Unless they sign a waver haha
And I could always get it powdercoated, then welded on, and the weld marks up to about 3" i can just paint them black :D give it some style.

true.. but where it's welded....will be covered anyways.. by the carpet, and by the seat..

What do you guys know about the seat brackets? I can't stand how high up I feel sitting in the crappy stock seat. I'll likely get a single Torino to start with, but am just not sure about the brackets - any thoughts? Thx!

i actually think i'm going to sell my torino... you need the sparco slider, and i think wedge engineering brackets.. they work. and they're SUPER low.. i used some risers for my seat, i like to sit higher.

The bars connect by two points behind the center console and to the bolts where the top of your seatbelts connect on the B-Pillar...

is their any modifications that need to be done to make the bar fit?
