10mm spacers

hi all, i'm looking to do 10mm spacers are the stock ms6 wheels.. do yall think that's too thread gone for the lugs to tighten up? i wanted to do the 10 mm spacers to make the wheels more flush to the fenders and i think it'll look more aggressive in stock form. Anyone have opinions? let me know please. Perhaps i'll do open end lugs.

try to source some eibach spacers, those are the bees knees.

10mm is pretty thick. thats almost a half inch. on the cx7 i added 5mm spacers so that the 16" protege5 wheels cleared the calipers (for winters) and the thread is pretty light now. i feel safe with that, but i don't think i would with 10.

the eibach spacers bolt to the wheel hub, and has 5 more studs to bolt the wheels

if you read above, he's not using the eibachs. he wants to use the wheel dude ones, which do not bolt to the hubs.

thanks for replies..wannabe.. do you think open ended lugs would help? or that'll still be the same.. i figure.. 40 dollars for the spacers would be okay.. if they dont work.. i'll just consider it a 40 dollar loss

whoops, yea im not sure if thats a hot idea, wouldnt there be more load on the studs and a tendency of the wheel to roll ahead of the car? :o

i can't really say for sure. wheel dude claims that you can go to 10mm without needing longer bolts, but i dunno...feels shaky to me..

for m4tic, the only real issue is that there is less bolt for the lug nut to attach to.

this spacer just sits between your wheel and the hub, so the actual bolts and contact patches don't really change, just have less room to work with.

considering the potential safety issues that could arise why even risk it. spend the money and do it right the first time, get Eibachs.
