Are these cams the "fixed" ones with the welch plugs and all that already? I'd probably take them and whichever crank is better.

I dont know what you mean "fixed" cams but they are good cams, and you can make me an offer on the crank
Maxx Mazda

Basically there were 2 batches, the first set wouldn't fit the car and had to be sent back to be reground, then when they were sent back to the customers they were all missing the welch plugs, and the second batch supposedly turned out alright, they forgot the welch plugs...

They were all "fixed" by elgin - there shouldn't be a single set out there now which is problematic.
The dimensions on the welch plugs were worked out, see the install thread (they are a standard ford something or other welch plug from memory).

Im guessing its the second batch cuz when I got it I just changed the shims and threw them on with no problems and they have less then 6k miles on them

His Twiggys were brand new, weren't they? I'd be all over that clutch if it was new.. but I just can't see buying it and *hoping* it will work okay after spending the money.. I guess the same goes for the Twiggys. (dunno)
