There is no 626 manifold with VICS. Only VTCS.. which is easily removed.

bump make me an offer!!

If you remove the VTCS flaps & rod and p&p it a bit.. it'll sell just like the other one. There's no difference between them once you remove the VTCS crap.

In all fairness, this manifold is easily worth ~$150 or so. Most used 626 manifolds that don't have VTCS sell for $170-$180, so this is easily worth $150 with the VTCS flaps.

That other one being sold has a vacuum leak, so the $60 price is appropriate cuz it doesn't function properly. However, a well functioning 626 mani (even WITH VTCS) is gonna be worth a lot more than that..

DubbyDoo

gonna be hard to find a vac leak to could be a crack in it anywhere

on the 626 manifolds, how hard is it to take off the vtcs and does it bolt right in?

DubbyDoo
02-27-2009, 06:47 PM
not hard i can take it off you would just need to fill in the hole on the side if you want

eszoom
02-27-2009, 09:52 PM
second part of question is ... does it just bolt on? like without moving or bending, plugging stuff? i really don't know so i ask.

DubbyDoo
02-27-2009, 10:18 PM
it does you will need to get the 626 egr line or do the block off the egr line you can buy from protege garage

went to take pictures and realized i had boxed it up already and didn't even remember. the manifold with vtsc is the same as the non vtsc manifold that PG sells but it has the vtcs, this can be deleted but i have left it in

+1

I've had a number of both manifolds in my hands and I did some serious side by side comparisons. The manifolds are EXACTLY the same once you remove the VTCS. Just fill the holes and port the runners, cuz the 626 also has that little lip behind the flaps like the Protege manifolds do so you wanna smooth it out so it doesn't obstruct airflow.
