I recently bought a set of RX-8 rims that came with TPMS sensors and I noticed that the round end needle thingy inside the TPMS valve stems are missing on all 4 sensors..you know the needle the you push to let the air leak out and makes that psssshhh sound.

You guys think i got some bad tpms valve sensors or do I need to buy and install that needle thingy inside????

The rims and tpms sensors came off an 04 RX-8 by the way.

as far as i know you can't just screw in any old valve you can get from any old stem. you might have to consult the dealer about that one

i was always told they were a little different for the TPMS's, so i wouldn't try to take them out of a normal valve stem and put those in the sensors

After doing some research..My TPMS doesnt have valve cores in it so I purchased 4 TPMS service kit at my local Kragen auto parts store. The kit contains valve cores, rubber grommet, nut, and cap. SChrader is the company that makes the kit.
