Who has had their emblems stolen!?!

Sorry if this already has a spot on the forums....

My emblem got stolen off my car!

Sterling, VA

I went into the party store about a week ago for about five minutes. I came back out and my BF noticed the emblem on the back of my car was gone! I guess im lucky it wasn't my car stolen or anything else and no scratches either! Just SUX!

Soo... if you get an emblem off ebay and the first layer of paint on it is red, then the next layer is pink and the 3rd is black (I was indecisive) That was probably mine =)

That sucks. I saw a red hatch at Best Buy one time with black emblems. I thought about swapping my chrome ones and leaving him a few bucks under the wiper but I decided against it. lol

They pop off pretty easy :/ the ms3 has 2 holes and it snaps in. However the mazdaspeed emblem is 3m'd or something. if they weren't just popins when our emblems get stolen there would be lots of scratches :( that's why im hesitant to put mighty putty or anything. When someone attempts to steal it, either gets broken or your car gets scratched up! Lose lose situation. And I did feel violated too! Hard to sleep that night!

if it's a problem too bad they aren't metal where you could run a current to them so that when they grab ahold of it it shocks them....

they had elec fences for animals where when the wire is touched and you are grounded the circuit is completed and shocks you as long as you hold on

I would take all the emblems off the car and leave it silky smooth rather than putting a new one on. I like the clean look better anyway. Just gotta plug up the holes, I guess.

To me any of my cars im ever going to own will ahve the badges shaved off :) It looks cleaner in 99% of the cases.

Yeah I blacked out my emblems too and I just stuck them back in there without glue. They stay fine but if someone wanted to they could grab it easily.

honestly, it's a mazda, if you wanted one you can get it for all of $5 on ebay. They were prob. just in it for the thrill. That sucks a lot though. I teach at a....well, we'll just say inner city....school and my friend (fellow teacher) got his BMW emblem stolen off of his 93 3 series coupe. He was more angry that they dented his hood getting it off then that the emblem was gone, =)

some asshole stole the red "23" off my sp23 door badges a year and a half ago in a parking garage... someone local thought it might have something to do with "King James" and the cavs
fuck that shit!

the doors were scratched up too and the only thing I could do was spend $40 to replace both badges, and a LOT of time with the touch up paint brush.... with my mad touch up paint skills, I was able to make it barely noticable

Yeah no clue why you would steal a honda / mazda emblem. Mercedes / old cadillac ones are worth at least 50 bucks and are pure metal so those I could understand.

Well that's shitty. I say go out, get a Rottweiler, and tie it to one of the car's wheels everytime you go somewhere. THEN see if anyone tries to come near your car.

the back one snaps in and out, it has 3M or something on it but most people don't put any on when they put the emblems back on. I see no reason to, they hold in there pretty well.

My front emblem was stolen many months back. What amazed me was that there was a Mercedes E-Class parked next to my car for the same time period and it was untouched! Maybe the thief just decided to pick the emblem of the better looking car! Or maybe it was the Mercedes owner - jealous of my ride :D !
