Miata Header

Does anyone make a header for a '94 Miata 1.8 with an automatic transmission?

I don't think the transmission matters on the miata. I'm fairly certain the racing beat header will fit, likely the OBX / ebay headers as well.

The GoMiata site lists a Racing Beat 4-1 that specifically says it's not compatible with AT. I think it has to do with the larger bell housing on the AT. I have a message in at OBX asking about the fit also.

Im glad this came up because i've been meaning to ask if obx is decent or not worth the hassle. Its cheaper, i know that much (evil)

With the RB you're paying for the R&D and quality assurance. IE: it'll work, it won't fall apart, and it'll make power. Guaranteed, every time, etc etc. With OBX, you're lucky if you can even speak to someone who can give you any real info @ the company.

This is the info I just got back from Jim at Racing Beat

"Sorry, the bell housings on the AT models are larger than the MT versions, which prevents the correct fitment of the header onto your chassis. The spacing is SOOO tight in this critical area that attempting to squeeze a larger diameter pipe into this space is very difficult."

yeah, I've heard some interesting stories about the OBX pieces. I got my Racing Beat, shipped to my door for about the same price as an obx new lol
