As I dont have it yet I will let the pic serve as a teaser... As far as I know I will be the first MZ6/MS6 to do this mod... Lets see whos first in correctly guessing what it will be...

You're installing a ms3 dash? Aren't you worried about how it will fit? j/k. I'm stumped.

you are going to try and turn your ms6 into an ms3?
ok for real though, that rim is going on, and hopefully the other 3 to make it all match

Getting rid of the MS6 center vents and installing MS3 radio/climate controls???
Yes you'd be the first MS3 to do this, but seriously, quite bitin' other people and get your own ideas....

either the red stitching on the shift boot or the mazdaspeed trim above the glove box

Great guesses so far but no one has won the proverbial e-cookie yet.
If your the first to do it, it could be absolutely anything....
Need some hints...

does it have anything to do with those small wheels at the top near the rear view mirror?
my guess is you just shrunk them and stuck them in there, so you next mod is new wheels.

Ummm, I think the stroller wouldn't roll as well without the wheels and I don't think they would clear the breaks anyways :p.

cats out of the bag. It is a Speed3 red stitched steering wheel. As far as I know I'm the first to do this mod. The wheel appears to be a perfect fit connectors n all. Hopefully I will be able to get good pics of the install process.

I knew it once I saw the pic. I was actually thinking about doing the same thing when I saw ScratchNSniff's f/s ad. The feel of the MS3 wheel is nice, and it's perforated leather.
Is the wheel diameter the same between the MS6 and the MS3?
ScratchNSniff, how hard was it to take off? I might just steal one at the Chicago auto show. ;)

MATT the wheel is pretty easy to remove. Its basically 2 10mm bolts holding the airbag on. undo the connectors on the airbag and a 22mm nut holding the airbag on...
Wheel is the same between the 2 other than the material (perforated vs non-perforated and red stitching vs black)

Not hard at all...I didn't personally take it off, but when I bought it I told the guy I wanted it...he said give me a minute and it was off in about 10...

^^^^^LOL@MATT^^^^^.....
To clear up any apparent confusion I have a Speed6 and am going to install a Speed3 Red Stitched steering wheel. From my research the wheel is a direct bolt on with the airbag and control switches being a plug and play affair...

Well to update everyone I recieved the wheel last week. It looks like mt oldtimers kicked in cause I swapped pics of a Mazda3 and a Mazda6 steering coloum. The 3 wheel has a hexoginal center shape and the 6 is a splined round center shape. They are not compatable... DAGGER!!!!!!! So no Speed3 wheel swap in the Speed6...I guess I will post it up in the Mazda3 section for sale soon... Ahh well live n learn...:(

Damn wish I would have known you were going to try this. I ALMOST became the first MS6 to do this a few weeks ago. My brother got a MS3 wheel to put on my MS6 but found out the same way you did that it doesn't fit.

Yea I was totally bummed but it was my fault... I got confused with the pics I had stored and compared a pic of a mazda6 wheel with my actual wheel and of course its the same mount style since its the same car... FS post will be up in the Mazda3 forum soon enough...

Yeah my brother is the one that did it for me. He wanted to do it and found a really cheap MS3 wheel. Bought it, when he tried it he text me before he started, like 5 minutes later I had another text saying no go. lol Sucks because it would have looked great with a matching shift boot and ebrake boot with the autoexe c/f shift knob. :-( probably still get the shift and ebrake boots though.
