I just bought a sharkfin from a user on here. I'm trying to find a suitable adhesive to use since I would imagine the stuff it came with is shot. Anyone have experience with something, I searched 3M's website and couldn't find anything definitive.

Your local auto parts store should sell 3M double sided tape in a roll. Make sure it's the thin. Red tape. That's what I used when I had to reattach mine and it's worked perfectly.

Awesome, thanks! I'll post up more info when I buy some.

I just got an email back from VG, and its $8 for a replacement gasket. Send it to paypal@visualgarage.com and mention that in the title.

i had to replace my gasket from them and then i put a small bead of silicon all the way around the base to keep water from making its way under. often i would get water under there and in the winter it would freeze then make this squeaking noise.

Strange I've washed mine with a pressure washer and never had that problem...altho now that I've been looking at my antenna I think its not 100% perfectly straight which is starting to annoy me.
