I just scooped a new Rockford Fosgate Sub and Amp off a buddy of mine who's having some hard times finding a job. I was curious, I have a MS6 with the Non-MP3 Bose system...and I'm no good with car audio, electronics, etc.

If I wanted to install this sub and amp, would I have to buy and install a new "deck" first or does the stock radio system support add-ons like this. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

No, you do not need a new head unit. Best bet if you can't do it on your own is to take it to a Certified Installer and get it done. I had mine done for $70.

yeah, its not too tough. theres a thread in the how-to section for how to install a sub and amp. if you want to save yourself some time and money, check that out. otherwise take it to a shop.

+1 ^^

also, if you take it to a shop and something gets fried, they are liable! I have done my own installs in the past, but after blowing an amp, I leave it to the pros.
