Amplifier Question

If I have 2 1,200 watt peak woofers (600 watt RMS), is there a huge difference if I power them with a single 1,500 watt peak amp (1000W x 1 @ 2-Ohms RMS or 500W x 1 @ 4-Ohms RMS) or using two separate 1,000 watt peak amps (650 Watts RMS x 1 @ 2-Ohms or 350 Watts RMS x 1 @ 4-Ohms)?

What's the impedance (ohms) of the subs?

Can you bridge the two amps? If so, that would be better IMHO, as long as they of comparable quality to the single i.e. one 500 W JL is superior to 2 500W sony xplods.
