It's easier just to get a mid pipe with no cat....cheaper too!

Here is a clip of my car, Vibrant 3" exhaust not cats the first pass is filmed inside and the next one is outside so you can hear what its like inside and out

If you check out my profile i have a bunch of other videos where you can hear the exhaust but i think this one you can hear it the best

with the stock MSP exhaust and just removing the cats, it really doesnt get louder but it does get deeper, and you do feel a slight noticable power gain

well i havent done that but i am running a custom 3" strait pipe exhaust and it sounds good bro! not a huge gain in power i think but the car dynoed 210whp on 10psi with the mods in my signature!

Just buy a catless midpipe.. and yeah, 2.5" or you could just get an aftermarket exhaust..

lol exhaust is part of my spring make up plan

im in a bit of a pickle....i had my heart set on a vibrant 3" TBE....then i found out it wasnt true turbo bach....lol then i wanted a GHL...butttt.....hard to find videos of what that sounds like.....then i was thinking of the no exhaust route (straight pipes or mid pipe and no cat)

i cant make up my mind lol. i dont want a rice sound. i like a deep growl....and i want the most HP gain possible (well actually, exhaust doesnt build hp it just frees HP lol..)

so i could use a bit of help in this thread as well lol

did you make that exhaust? cuz im plannin on runnin a 3 inch strait with a magnoflow muffler, and all the shops here in town are sayin 500 just in labor, and hel I can make it for a fraction, I was just wondering how you did it if you made it yourself... (threadjack over)

actually it was cheaper for me to cut the cats and resonator out...if you are keeping the stock muffler this is exactly what it will sound like
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lmt1u9H3yDw
i have the same setup...but this video is what it sounds like with no resonator ...yes the difference in power is noticeable

How about remove the stock mid pipe and have the muffler shop make you a new pipe with the flanges on them. Pay attention that the flanges are angled slightly get that right the first time so you don't have sealing issues.

Ya I was running mine on a straight pipe when I first bought it. It was loud as hell. Perrin full 3" catless turboback. When I put the cats back on, I did notice an immediate power loss, but throttle response skyrocketed, and i can jump off of the line even faster and get a nice pull. But, with the stock system, the catless doesn't seem too bad.
