thats basically an old skyline / nissan turbo. you'll need to buy bolt up flanges for the inlet and outlet on the compressor and its NOT an RS. a 28R is not the same turbo and will not give you the same gains as a 28RS. from the photo and specs i would not say that turbo is much better honestly over stock.

in response to that turbo, what would you say to this no name turbo? saw it on ebay and im thinking it will get noticable gains.

I wouldn't ever place a No name turbo on my car, Your better off sourcing a used brand name. One of the last places you want a failure on is an expensive part like that.

i'm thinking it will fall apart within a few hundred miles. look folks, you get what you pay for. there is a reason why Garrett Turbos are on the most powerful cars and cost as much as they do. they are well built. you don't see sub $200 chinachargers on anything making real power. i've ridden in miatas powered by these things and they are totally unimpressive. they tend to leak or burn oil, be noisy, gutless and fall apart fast. then you're back at square one spending money on a real turbo. common sense dictates you get what you pay for and that when something is too good to be true, it is.

not trying to be mean, just trying to keep it real for everyone and save people money and hassles.

that turbo, by the way, will not even bolt up to the msp exhaust system.

lol i remember reading that some ebay/china turbos split in half where they are just glued together. or somthing.

Those ebay tubos are junk, or at least a lot of them are and how the hell do you know what's good and what's not? You don't. I've replaced more than a few of them, they start to leak and people don't realize it until they start either losing oil presure or the car starts to run funny from lack of oil. Luckily I haven't replaced a motor because of them running out of oil yet. I'd rather spend the money and buy a new or even rebuilt turbo with a warranty from someone reliable.

look at the car of the month thread. cityracer is running a gt30r at 20 psi on his FS in his probe.

so its not like the smaller gt28r is too much. ;)

Sure just send yours to MPnick and have it built with with the GT28RS internals then I'll trade you for that and your exhaust and the lightweight flywheel

so are u saying that u don't want me to buy it from u ne more lol?? i am going forged next year so i could either buy this turbo from u and boost 6-7 psi.....or i can save myself $1000 and buy some other shit and boost 10 psi on the stock turbo until (my motor blows) lol or until i go forged....(glare)

Get the GT28RS and a split second then tune the boost to 8 PSI and be merry till forged

Maybe if I push more PG sales He'll have a better price for me when I pick my car up on Friday

I don't feel bad running 6 psi on my GT28Rs
when your running 6 PSI on the Garret GT3076RS with a nonforged block and just a split second for engine management....I feel safer upping the boost now!!!

word man that would be sick if it was the right price... I have the resources I can make mine, but if you want to possibly sell it off of PG I could help you out with possible ideas and fabrication of how I made mine... when I do eventually make mine lol...
