Can the stock rubber fit OEM RX8 Rims

Hey guys, I just picked up a set of RX8 Rims, but need some rubber for them.

Can our stock rubber (215/45/R18) fit the RX8 dimensions (18x8)?
I'm on stock suspension and I don't think rubber will be an issue will it?

Yes, it'll fit. 8" width is the limit for the stock 215/45 Potenzas, so they'll look a little stretched and offer zero lip protection.

Ou...zero lip protection....that sounds scary.

What tires are you running on Kain? and do you recommend them?

Stock 215/45 Potenzas, which is why I replied. The only reason I'm running on them is because they only had 3,000 gently-applied miles, and I was transferring TPMS anyway.

But yeah, when it comes time to replace these, I'm definitely going wider.

Ya I have stock tires on RX-8s also, and have scratched both my passenger side wheels, even tho Im super careful. It does have that stretched euro kind of look to it, which is cool, but Ill be eager to get some 235s on there.

haha 215 is a super mild stretch ran on an x8 rim for about 3 months no problem just be careful
