This is no marketing from my side but thought it looked OK. Never heard of the brand but popped up on my Google page in case you know them:

Scosche Industries (www.scosche.com), a leader in mobile electronics aftermarket accessories, today announced it will ship a new installation kit for all 2006 and up Mazda 5 vehicles. Part of Scosche's signature "Custom Kit, Factory Fit" dash kit line, the MA1538B offers custom installers a quality choice with automotive-grade components when upgrading a factory radio.

The MA1538B will accommodate an ISO Double DIN mount or an ISO Single DIN mount with pocket. The signature Scosche design features no cutting or modification of the dash kit when installing a Double DIN aftermarket head-unit. The kit is painted silver to match the factory dash, is made of high strength ABS/PC material, matches factory contour and includes factory-style retention clips. The MA1538B includes all of the necessary hardware and detailed installation instructions.

The MA1538B will be available at specialty retailers across the nation and will retail for $39.95. For a complete aftermarket installation, Scosche also manufactures matching harness, MA03B. Visit www.scosche.com for more information on this and other "Custom Kit, Factory Fit" products.

That used to be the brand Crutchfield sent with all their head units. Do they still? I think I've only ever used 1 of them, but it was a decent kit.

I talked with Crutchfield yesterday and the faceplate that they supply for the 5 now is not Scosche but Metra if I heard correctly. I have just ordered a radio and installation kit.

Please post back with pictures of the installed radio (and the installation process, if you happen to have any).

And with a 1-din radio you get a little storage compartment, right?
