So I'm going to get a TWZ SS soon, and I want an aftermarket knob. I don't really like what TWZ has, and I'm thinking of going with one or the other of these:

I need one that sits well in our cars, doesn't look like a weird penis, and is heavy, preferably 13 - 16 oz. or heavier. ANY recommends of knobs you love are welcome.

I never liked the shaft style shift knobs. they just didnt fit right in my hand. the rounder ball shaped ones or something with a thicker head always felt better.

thats what she said? =)

I will add these to the list, thanks. That said, I've been made aware of two issues. One, despite the good advice not to, I do tend to rest my hand on my shifter as I drive. So a larger "platform" (big round knob for my big hand) probably would be good. My fellow louisiana native has also reminded me that a metal knob will get HOT in the sun, so I might want to think about leather. I will still be looking. The thing that sucks about shopping for these is you can't see how they really feel, and only go on look. Anyway, now I'm leaning towards a Momo leather ball type. I don't like those ones that look like walking sticks for some reason. I want an OEM, but luxury look that feels good and won't brand me in July.

I'm leaning towards a round momo knob, maybe the nero. Does anyway know if those are weighted, and how much? The heavier the better...

I'm still thinking in the sparco, I just wish I could have access to the damn dimensions! Is it 2" or 4" tall?

They are, they don't thread. Which is why, at the end of the day, I may go with TWM's desert eagle in Gunblue. It will match my interior, it threads on their SS, and its heavy as hell, 1lb+. It will get hot in summer, but that's the only downside. And I think it looks good, all that matters.

I have a practically new desert eagle in satin.
Looking to let it go ~80 shipped.
Let me know if interested and I will post pics.

I'm thinking about going with the Sparco Globe X with perf leather. I had one on my last car and loved it.

Although the sparcos look nice. but theyre very light. Lighter than the stock knob. In fact I was shopping for one and took my stock MS3 knob in as a reference. I was told RAZO has some weighted knobs. The MOMO knobs did not feel very heavy either.

What about voodoo knobs? I just bought a piano black one for my Miata. It feels great and has a nice weight to it.

On Thursday I was in my buddy's speed shop that's been in business since the early 80's. He has some seriously retro stuff in the back of the store that collects dust. I found this-
It matches perfectly, but for some reason it appears to be darker black than the boot.. it's not. It's a RAZO from the early 90's.It's just a ball(cool)

I like this, is it heavier than the stock ms3 knob? Did you see the knob on dabears2k's site? They dont have it yet but its heavy..

Oh, is that knob threaded for the ms3 or do you have to use set screws?
