I am looking at aftermarket stereo's for my ms3 since the stock one is faulty, and I don't want my car at the dealership for days. I am wanting to go with a single din aftermarket stereo with new door speakers. What all do I need ?
Best buy doesn't carry dash kits, let alone stereos that fit our cars.

I know I need the dash kit, which metra sells... What else ?

I preferably want a Pioneer stereo with Pioneer door speakers, I don't want a sub or amp or anything crazy. Do I need harnesses ? if so how many ?

Any input would be appreciated thx

Dude, I just Googled "Metra 99-7504" and found shitloads of people with them...

*EDIT* In case you stumbled across this in a search, the part # above is the single DIN unit. The double DIN Metra part is 95-7504, however the Kanatechs kit *way* better and more expensive.

most definitely you will need a harness as well! unfortunately most cars do! unless you feel like stripping your wires and taping them together!

yes sir! well the harness, the dash kit (that alone, because its a specialty kit- should be around 50 if you buy from the store). but id say order it online! i don't know if you need an FM adaptor (so that your radio works). apart from that, nothing else :)

My man.

Internet sales will be your best friend. And might I suggest (beg you) to consider that when you upgrade to new door speakers, you will want an amp. They are very cheap on several different sites and ebay. Once you get an amp for those, you will ultimately also want an amp for a sub, and of course, a sub. Trust me when I say that car audio is a gateway drug. Why not check craigslist!? There are ALWAYS tons of speakers/amps/subs for sale at rock bottom prices. Read SKU reviews, choose wisely, and you can have a banging system for under $300, easy.

^^^^ Yep, audio mod's are just as addictive as performance mod's.... Just read my sig, which one's longer????!!!

sigh* honestly I don't want anything crazy. I just want my sound to be a little bit more clear. I am mostly annoyed with the stock HU being messed up.. The stock bass levels are fine for me, I don't listen to techno or rap lol.. Just smoothe tunes.
