I was thinking abotu getting rear speakers for my mazda i sport since it does not come with tweeters. Sometimes the bass overwhelms the voice on my music, so I was wondering if it was a good or bad idea to install rear speakers?

Have you changed out your fronts with a component set? You'll notice the biggest difference by simply doing that. I'd only do the rear speakers if you're worried about your rear passengers.

Rear speakers won't be all that helpful considering you sit up front in the driver's seat. Rear speakers are just that, for ppl sitting in the back. A proper soundstage is supposed to come all from the front anyway - like Design suggested, either switch to components up front or add a pair of tweeters.

When you're at a concert, do they put speakers behind you? No.. they don't.
