What Kind Of Coilovers Do You Have?

They dont go enough in the rear.. and i want a stiffer spring rate... Thats why i dont like the BC's

I have the Tein Superstreets. When I got them, I had to special order from Tein b/c they were still testing for the MS3, but they have them readily available for the ms3 now. I love them, and they lowered the car nicely (although that is making my necessary winter driving in kentucky a little more difficult). You can also get the EDFC with them if you want, which allows you to adjust front and rear stiffness to 16 different levels from INSIDE the car while you are driving. They're awesome. I fully recommend them to anyone interested in a new suspension.

I have the Mazdaspeed ones, and I think they are fine. Adjustable, decent spring rates, and warranty friendly.

You can order whatever spring rate you want. If they don't have something you like you can order from a race shop, get the measurements you need and order up whatever spring rate you want from a near infinite selection. That's what autox and some track racers do...they have multiple spring rates to choose from in their setup. If you go way outside of the default rate you'll need to have the shocks rebuilt to match.

Almost all springs are made by the same few manufacturers.

I'm running the H&R coilovers and am happy with them thus far. I've ran the same set of coilovers on my last car and were very happy with them so I went with them again on the MS3. Keep in mind, they're only height adjustable and offer no dampening adjustment and it's my DD so I'm a bit more biased toward ride compliance than all out balls to the walls go-kart handling although I do not doubt their ability in a track setting, just have to slam the car down a tad more.

I've got the BC coilovers. They're not bad. I don't autoX or track. The only reason I got them was because I traded a local guy for my stock struts/shocks and Cobb springs.

madvillian - Is your front all the way down or no? I've been wanting to lower my BC's more and thought about taking out that piece that locks it so it won't move (I forgot what its called). After taking that off, just lower is all the way down and make sure it's tight.

How do you have these if there not out for the Speed3's yet...?

they are out for the speed 3's now. If you look on Tein's website, they are listed with a product number. However, as of right now, you need to order them through an authorized vendor of tein products to the best of my knowledge. When I ordered mine, I custom ordered them through my garage, who works very closely with tein.

If you call tein, you may be able to order them directly at this point since they are listed on the Tein website for the ms3 now.

I have the Mazdaspeeds. No complaints. I am happy with them plus the warranty coverage as someone else mentioned.

Warranty for Mazdaspeed parts are only 12 months/12k miles.

The MS Coilovers come with an Orange Warranty. Basically, the buyer assumes all risks. The advantage is that the dealer will be more likely to continue your warranty on other stock suspension components, and not dismiss it based on the fact you installed coilovers.

Also, I believe H&R has the softest spring rates of the bunch (except for maybe the Tein Basics).

OP you said you want to go lower in the rear, what coils have you found that allow you to tuck tires in the rear? My BC's are set as low as they can go in the rear, I even removed the lower lockring to get the springs down more and still I have a small gap between tire and wheelwell if looking from the side. I want to know how low other coils can go in the rear.....The fronts are good they can be slammed so I dont care about that.

i have KW V2 they are great but if you say the back isn't stiff enough try bigger sway bar, it should stiffen the back.

I'm running std standard r5 coilover pillow ball and camber plate spring raet are 6kg front and rear its better than stock and still confortable
